My back glass seal leaks water like crazy. I have removed the back glass and seal. Cleaned the seal out really good, re-installed with that 3m sealant gunk in between the seal & hatch and now leaks worse than ever.

The seal is definitely seated properly and all the grooves are completely clean. It just feels like an extremely loose fit, perhaps it's shrunk over the last 25 years or something.

I want to just replace it with an aftermarket or oem one but am really having a hard time finding any positive or negative experiences with oem / aftermarket seals.

Mine had the chrome trim junk in it and I threw it out when I removed the glass. I don't like it.

Any input guys?
