I have had several Jeeps in my lifetime, my favorite being my CJ "Ruckus"...now I find "Jezebel" a 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4dr...nice roof rack...good tires and rims...small body bumps but nothing substantial...anyways I tried to use the cruise control on her on the way home from work and no light appeared to be triggered on the dash when i depressed the on/off button on the steering wheel....

guess im gonna look for a clockspring..just bought this 99 cherokee and the cruise doesnt work, but horn does and no airbag light is on...never wrecked....

I did have to do some brake work on it tonight apparently the hardware on both sides was rusteed to peices and it looked like metal mahhem in there when i got her to a lift first go round.

tested a tech on his alignments as well while she was in did oil and air filter change with fresh juic3e.

I, from what I have read, am guessing this could possibly be a clockspring however....i get no light so it may well be the button on steering wheel.

when i wake up tomorrow going to look at the brakelight switch, because i know cherokees are famous for having a brakelight switch messing up the cruise control....brake lights work and the circuit is there, but im afraid the pedal may be riding hard on the stoplight switch at this point in her life....155k

someone took care of her tho all the fluids but oil have been changed out at least one time each during the last 50k miles....debating on whether or not a tranny fliter change would be a wise thing to do at this point....because that may not have been done....although the pan leaks so i will have to do that anyways...... always fun getting a new build started.....its official. HERE WE GO!
