Axle upgrade question.
I think the gearing if i remember right is 3.02? is that even an option? i remember the number being really now, i'm looking at this junk xj's axles which are in really good condition, it has the 30 in front and the 8.8 in the back, and it has 3.55 gears, if i put this on my xj. Having the bigger gearing will my 4th and 5th gear pull a little better?
thanks.
thanks.

if you have an auto then you have 3.55 gearing
If it was a pre '00 then it has the high pinion front axle it was '00-'01 it has the low pinion front axle.
stock cherokees came with D35's and Chrysler 8.25's only. the ford 8.8 would have to be switched in which is an inch narrower on both sides.
