Always a good idea to put some silicon around the outside of the new seal before you replace it. Don't worry about the factory sealant if you do this.

I've found the easiest way to install axle seals is:
Remove shafts and carrier.
Find a socket that fits inside the seal. A big socket.
Tap the seal in to get it started.
Have your friend hold the socket in place while you run a long rod thru the opposite side axle tube.
Tap the seal in place.
That makes sure they go in square everytime.

Yeah, I was about to say... It wouldn't be worth your time to sell axle seals...

People don't go out of there way to by just the seals off my site. Typically they include them with axles or lockers.
