ax15 to aw4 swap bell housing difference?
The bellhousings themselves are different - the patterns that bolt to the engine are not.
You can't swap the bellhousings between transmissions - you have to get the transmission with the correct bell (or find a donor bell for the transmission with the correct engine pattern.
And yes, the automatic uses a lightweight flexplate to attach the torque converter to the crankshaft; the manual uses a heavy cast flywheel as a friction surface for the clutch. The CKP will be the same.
An automatic bellhousing lacks both the port for the hydraulic lines for the clutch, and the pivot ball for the clutch fork (if external slave.)

Maybe. Eventually. I'm going to put in the AX-15e, but I want to see if I can't retrofit the AX-15i input shaft to the AX-15e - I like the thicker bushing, and it makes it a bit more likely to find a bearing instead of a bushing. The clutch friction is all the same anyhow.)
