Long story short, need to remove AX-15 from a Junk XJ, removal from the bottom is not feasible other than driveshaft disconnection and crossmember removal. Carpet and center console need to come out and let the cutting begin? Probably need to remove some dashboard too?

 

Yes, carpet and console gotta go. You’ll need to cut the tunnel dashboard might stay if you’re lucky, but if the trans is stubborn, be ready to drop the column or loosen the dash. It’s messy but doable. Focus on freeing up space to tilt and yank it out.
