I talked to the previous owner who owned this jeep before I did. he replaced the TPS about 2 years ago and the sensor is from autozone. I still have the old tps. Also he said there wasn't anything wrong with the old tps. He just felt like it was time to replace it and trying to sqeeze out some mpg's.

But 1st things 1st, I'm going to drain and put new fluid in, clean out my trans sensor connections and the tps connector as well and go from there.

Well, today after work I swapped back the old TPS, it still does the same thing. So what the next thing I should look into? I'm thinking what other suggested, clean my sensors on my trans and drain and refill.... Is there anyway i can disconnect my trans computer to make sure my solenoid pumps are working in all gears?

Again, today my cel finally came on, code p0705 for the NSS. I looked it up it for the back up lights, controls shift points and overdrive engagement as well. Is this true?

My back up lights works flawlessly though and can start in Park.

Success! It was my NSS. It had water in it. I opened it apart and then drip of water came out. Cleaned it pretty good, lighty sand the contacts and greased it as well. I was wondering if there is any way we can water proof the NSS?

By the way, it shifts so much smoother. So, Nss not only controls starting, it also controls shift points and over drive engagement as well. It's proven.
