While installing a new engine I put the torque converter through my oil pump and chiped the shoulders it rests on. Pulled it from my 2000 AW4, friend had an 89 AW4 lying around and the oil pump looks, fits exactly the same......is this cool? or are they incompatible, I've read all the internals are interchangeable except the gears.

Thanks for your help but I stated I read about the internals and found nothing on the pump.

Parts guy at the dealer hooked me up with the answer 87-01 are the same thank god
