Default Autozone motor mount problems

Alright so I have an 90 xj 4.0 and I'm replacing the motor mounts and I ran into a problem. The replacement mount seems too thick to fit into the engine mount bracket. I got my mounts from autozone part number 2572. Anyone else have this problem? Everything about it looks the same as my old one, except the part where the bolt goes too the engine, like i said it seems to be thicker. Thanks for any help. I need to get my jeep going!

Default motor mounts

I just did mine on my 89 and got them from zone. I had the same issues but it just took some time and a some thinking but they went in. I raised mine up enough to put the mount on the engine first then sat it down slow and with a little work I got it down on the bolt . Took a little longer then it should but it was the first one I had done on the cherokee. It was the pass side mount. Gonna do the other side soon and it looks like it might be a fun time.

Haha alright if you got it then I have hope, I actually started with the driver side, it wasnt too bad after your remove the airbox, however watch out for that nut you have to take off from the bottom, that how stud broke loose from inside the mount soo it was just spinning with the nut, a few days later i finally got it off, ended up cutting the whole nut off.

Ha! nismo5 I wish mine went as well as yours, you didnt have any problem with it? Mine still seems to wide to go into the engine bracket, and i checked the part number and its right.
