Automatic Windows - 2000 xj classic
2000 cherokee classic 4 door automatic
All windows go up and down but only using the drivers side controls. All passenger doors lock buttons have lights but window buttons don't have lights. Once in a blue moon like literally twice in the last year the passenger window control led lit up all of a sudden and the button worked for a minute before going dead again.

Well known issue. 2 fixes.
You can do the " by-pass" method, which involved putting a paperclip in a connector. This will by-pass the window control lock and fixes the issue. Haven't got the pics, but google this in pics and it will lead you to the write-up
Or, the better fix, resolder the points (2) on the ' motherboard' from the drivers control. This sounds difficult but it is really simple. If I hadn't lost all my pics, I would post it for you, but again through search you will find it. I did it, and windows working fine ever since.
If times allows, I'll search and add the pics.
EDIT: the is actually a write up on the forum " How to fix power lock window" , have a look

Yea it's pretty easy once you can get the buttons off. Just really solder each connection on the pins, you don't have to mess with the child lock button unless your having problems with it not locking or unlocking. It's also possible that the other controls have developed hairline cracks, also which why it wouldn't work on that panel. One way to know if everything it working fine it look for the light on each panel if no light it has a crack, child lock is engaged, or wire it broken in the door jam somewhere.
