Stock XJ Cherokee Tech. All XJ Non-modified/stock questions go hereXJ (84-01)
All OEM related XJ specific tech. Examples, no start, general maintenance or anything that's stock.
No direct "drop-in" manual brackets exist, but you can swap in manual seats from a same-gen XJ (or similar Jeep). You’ll need to reuse your existing sliders or modify the mounts slightly. Junkyard manual seats are the easiest route just bolt them in. No aftermarket plug-and-play brackets, though.

Thanks!
I unplugged these many years ago because the worm-gear mechanism fails. The motors are good, so perhaps I’ll leave them as is.
Had a similar issue with the driver side in my '88. Found a set of "rocker" manuals in a salvage yard. It slides forward and rearward, plus allows the seat to rotate. Just no height adjustment. If you grab them at a yard, make sure you get the trim pieces as the power ones won't fit properly.
