I really want to use my auto locks instead of manually locking them. When I push the lock button they barely move. I have to hold it down or push it about 3 or 4 times to get them to lock. Anyone know why?? I have already taken 2 door panels off and wd 40'ed all the mechanism and the spring in the locks. It does seem to help but still not enough. Does my engine need to be grounded better? I have a brand new battery and they have done this before and after this replacement.

Could the other 2 doors be restricting them? I havent yet got to them. I am just trying to figure out... is if 1 dont want to work it affects them all? Kinda like x mas lights lol?

 

Any ideas? Does anyone have their locks lock when you push the button once?

 

Hi thats usually a sign the the locking mechanism is weak or going bad. Try a junk yard for new ones. PS do they work when is warm out or when the jeeps running?...Tj
