How do I reset the autoshutdown control on my 94 jeep cherokee sport 4.0? I just replaced the fuel tank and pump but I have only 6 volts to the pump, so I am guessing that the autoshutdown has it shutdown. It had been setting for almost 10 yrs.

 

You need to go thru your wiring, you've got a voltage drop somewhere.

 

I was told, but could be wrong, that the 6 vlts runs the level sensor? but anyway I am going to replace the relay/fuse box because I jumped across the relay plug-in and melted it. So yes there is something wrong with the wiring! Thank you so much for your input!
