Auto to manual cherokee swap
So I have a 1997 cherokee sport, it has a 4.0l straight 6 with 4wd. The only thing left that I need to change is the automatic! I've been reading some forums as well as talking to a few mechanic buddy's about doing an auto to manual trany swap. I have a general idea that I need an ax15 trany, but as far as wiring and the hole 4wd set up goes I'm getting a little confused. Any tips or suggestions from anyone that either has or is doing this?

Transmission, flywheel, pedal assembly, clutch pedal assembly, master cylinder, slave piston or internal hydraulic release bearing assembly, associated hydraulic lines, MAYBE PCM, youll have some wiring to do to eliminate the neutral safety switch, back up lights. Its a royal PITA and not worth it to me. I did it on a RWD Corolla AE86 I had and will NEVER do it again. Have fun! You MIGHT need the transfer case that is attached to the AX and the drive shafts too....
