Default Armrest pad got pulled out...how do I fix it?

Hello everyone. I just got my XJ and the owner before me "pulled out" or the arm pads came out of the door. I can't seem to get them to fit back in. I took off the door panel and there is what look like plastic rivets that hold the black hard armrest to the door. I need to separate the hard black armrest from the door so I can slide the little bit of armrest PAD fabric back between the hard armrest and the door panel. Has everyone ever had this happen or know how I can fix it?

-Thanks!

I guess that door is a little hard to close? As stated above JY is probably the best bet. Maybe lube up the door hinges, latch, etc.

I have the same problem. I think that the seatbelt has a tendency to catch on the aft portion as I pull it across my body. The handle itself is fine, it is the padding that has pulled away from the base.
