Default Anyone running used gears?

Just bought a set of used Nitro 4.88 HP D-30 gears for 50 bucks, im planning on swapping them in once I do my High Pinion swap, just wondering if there are any problems with running used gears, i've heard they can hum a little but that's about it, any strength or heat issues I should know of? They only have 5,000 miles on them so I figured they would be alright.

you win them off ebay about a week ago? people run used gears alot man... i wouldnt think they would make any more noise then a new set... i can see them wearing in a kinda pattern and then reinstalling and the pattern being slightly off making some noise till the wear in... but thats about it...

As long as they are worn fine then I'd say they are OK

its one of the cheapest and most common ways alot of people swap in 4.10's from the wranglers; thats what i'm doing and a couple of my buddies have done it before... as long as everything is done correctly then you won't have problems

With only 5k miles on them they should not have much wear at all. Now if your buying a set of used gears with 150k on them they will probably be a lil loud as they will be worn in to their original axle.
