I need to replace my drivers side mirror on my 1997 grand cherokee limited. it has heat, power, and memory. The ones listed on ebay all say heat/power-- no memory. Can i put a heat/power-- no memory replacement mirror on this vehicle? will the plug in match? will the memory work? Or, will the memory cause the mirror to move on it's own?

There are two different kinds. Only one will work. There is a 3 letter code somewhere on the jeep. Glove box, rear cargo area, or driver door. I don't think I would buy one off of ebay..

just took off mirror and plug shows 8 pins with all of them doing something. aftermarket had 3 out of 8. took off mirror seperated glasses as suggested by someone in here (ratmonkey maybe) wiped off liquid, broke the outer glass, broke the black plastic riing, put mirror back with what was left looks fine to me. A more patient person could have probably saved the outer glass and the plastic ring. But this heap with 205k is fine w/o it. thanks for looking at request.

Agreed. If it's just the glass you can get a replacement for $15:

dealership? are you serious? that is the answer to every question in this forum but the last resort that i personally would not even consider. you are killing the spirit of solving the problem the hard way.

eBay mirrors suck. Stealership would be way overpriced, but it would be a high quality oe piece. I suggest hitting the you pull or find someone that may be parting a jeep out for a replacement mirror.
