I haven't checked out the jeep solenoid yet but almost any I have worked on were super easy to field repair.
What are your symptoms that lead you to believe somethings wrong with it?

I usually have to fiddle with the ignition switch several times before it starts, starter does not engage when turning key, then after a few seconds of turning it, it stars, I figure it's either the solenoid or the ignition switch.
It's not the NNS

To test mine i took it out, and hooked battery cables to it. Positive to the big post without the wire from the starter motor going to it and the negative to one of the ears that mounts the starter. Then jumper the positive cable post to the little post below with a wire. Should engage the solenoid if working correctly. You can do it in the vehicle as well as long as you have juice going to it but i took it out so i could see it with my eyes. If you want to just test the motor itself to see if its spinning with the starter in the vehicle jumper the two big posts. If you have enough juice and nothing else is messed up like good battery and wires you should hear it spin.
See this thread. My post #6.
