Any ideas? Lift and Tires
Ok so I,m 19 just got my first xj, I want to do a lift and tires asap mainly because the tires on it are almost gone. however I am like many people flat broke. so anyone have any ideas for cheap or free ways to lift my jeep and same with tires, I know free is not likely but maybe cheap. I'm new to the jeep world and forum so anything would be helpful? Thank you, I will get pics up soon of the new project.

2" poly coil spacers ~35$ shipped
2" lift shackles ~70$ shipped
If your leaf springs are sagging like most older XJ's grab a few leafs from an appropriately sized pack from the junkyard and add them in. This is referred to as a bastard pack. It will make your ride a little rougher, but its vastly cheaper than buying new AALs which just sag over time anyways.

JY will be a second home if you have lots of plans and not a lot of $$$$$. bastard pack rears and f150 coils up front. best guess, less then 50 bucks. did mine this way and 3" lift took me half a day and 40 bucks.
