Any one know what this plug does it was plugged into where the ignition cylinder is and was preventing me from turning the key all the way back. Thanks in advance.

 

Park interlock. Won't let you turn the key back and lock the steering wheel unless the shifter is in park. The other end is under the shifter bezel.

 

Ok. Thanks. So what does it do because I unplugged it so my key would work sorry dont mean to be annoying

 

You can now turn and remove the key without having the shifter in park. Just promise you won't try removing the key while the vehicle is moving because that locks the steering, or forget to put it in park before getting out. .

 

Probably that linkage or the shifter linkage needs adjusting. Or what you've done.
