Default any benefits from taking off rear sway bar?

was wondering if it is worth taking off my rear sway bar. i DO do a lot of highway driving and back roads driving. so what would be the pros and cons for removing it? thanks in advance.

Pros - more rear flex offroad

Cons - the rear sway bar has no real effect on handling

The front however does have an effect on how it handles on the road. Many will argue that driving without the front sway bar is fine... until you have to swerve to aviod a collision and you end up being the collision.

depends on how much wheeling you do. if it's a DD, leave it on, it's not gonna make that much of a difference, if you do a decent ammount of off roading pull it off. it'll give you alot more articulation back there.

it makes no difference, the rear sway bar is to keep the vehicle from under steer, meaning keeping your rear end from sliding out on hard turns at high speeds, but who in their right mind would do that anyway. i have no rear sway bar and i cant tell the difference on the street but makes a big difference offroad! but leave the front one on, if u can upgrade it to a ZJ V8 version. bolts up to the same spot and is a whole lot stronger. helps on the freeway a lot and eliminates heavy body roll

Mine is a dd and I took it off. I did notice a slight difference, but it is still very stable on the road and the benefits far outway the cons.

Take that thing off if you wheel it at all.

I pulled mine off. The difference on the street was very very minimal at best. Off road it was much better. Pretty sure the up countries did not come with one. My dad has a virgin 2000 classic with up country on it and it has no bar.

Yeah, it has the up country window stickers on it, sits about .75 inches higher in the rear than standard and has no bar.
