Default Any advantage/disadvantage in changing to a 1 piece axle from a 2pc. CAD??

I have a 1989 with the 2 piece CAD front axle. I have done the mod to lock the axle full time, but I can get a set of one piece axles for about 50 bucks. Is it worth it to do? Or not?? I know I would need a new seal and would likely add the outer axle tube seals from Alloy USA. I can make a new cover and put new U joints in during the swap. I would estimate about $150.00 total investment. Just looking for stuff to do until the motor gets here.

This Jeep will be a DD and will see plenty of highway miles and speeds.

It would be good to do. The shafts that you want to look for would be from 97+ XJ or TJ they have the bigger Joints in them.
