Default Antifreeze Everywhere-help

I'm at the dr. Office with strep throat, and I see smoke from under the hood. Parked, checked under hood and coolant is all over. Can't figure where it's coming from. How can I get back home safely. Can't tell where it's coming from. Hope it's just a hose.

Probably a pinhole in a hose, they spray everywhere. Be very careful, dont let it overheat. You can turn the radiator cap back a bit and it wont build up pressure, make sure there is no pressure in the hoses or you can get a face full of hot coolant.

Is it safe to loosen the radiator cap right now? How can I figure out which hose it is?

I believe it needs to sit for a few. Let it cool down. I had a friend that took a towel, like a bath towel, and bundle it up over the cap and losen it that way so he could get to it right away... Though in not sure what that will help with being in a parking lot and all.

That's probably not very safe either...

Found the problem. It's the upper radiator hose. Thanks for responding right away guys. My shortest thread EVER!

So far

Use a knife to slit old hose at heat core. If rad is cool, pour some bottled water in till full, to get home.

I spoke too soon. Luckily, I passed an advance auto, and bought an upper radiator hose. Replaced in the parking lot, and added coolant to the reservoir, BUT she was still trying to run hot (line before the red). Had to turn on the a/c to bring the temp down. What gives??? No more leaks that I see…

Air in the system. Let it cool and check the radiator level and add coolant as needed.

I can't tell if you're serious or kidding.

If you are trying to be serious, that is some seriously crazy "advice".

So, was it the heater hose you spliced with the plastic fitting, or was it a damaged radiator hose? Didn't you replace all your hoses with the cooling system saga you've been through a couple of times now? Something doesn't seem right here.

Was refering to removing leaking hose. Sometimes they can be stuck good. Slice the hose, it will peel right off. Twisting, yanking, prying could damage heater core tube. I thought she said heater hose in first post. No matter any hose that's junk, this is easiest way to remove.

Guess I should have been more explicite with instructions.
