Default Another tale of a cracked 0331

Been having coolant and oil pressure issues, suddenly developed a tick on start up. Pulled the valve cover and cleaned off the typical crack area... Looks like that's exactly what's going on. I have my cooling system under pressure now to see if any comes out to be sure, but man... Am I screwed.

So, Clearwater? Who else sells a quality head?

I got mine from National Head Co

The new head came with the dowels already installed, no core charge as long as you return the old head back to them w/in 30 days (in the same box the new head comes in, and using the shipping label they provide).

How can I identify if my head is a 0331? I have a 99 cherokee, no problems but am wondering what I have to look forward to.

Does it have a bracket to mount the coil pack? 2000 JEEPs have coil-on-plug and the 0331 head has mounting allowance for the coil pack. the older 0630 head design does not have that...

Sorry Olds. Silver lining, at least you caught it before your bearings are shot. Btw, last year a pair of brothers posted that they had success with the $60 carbon-fiber stop leak. "feeling lucky?"

Guess having a 99 is good news then no coil pack so no 0331 head, correct?

If overheated any cylinder head can and will crack. Service the cooling system now before you have issues.
