Default Another noob XJ question thread....

Hey everybody. I finally found a factory RHD XJ (rural mail carrier) within an hour of me and bought it Wednesday.

I have found pictures of other jeeps on the web with these little turn signal lights above the front wheel wells, but can't figure out what they're called. I need to replace one, or possibly replace them both with an LED version. Also, if anyone has bought aftermarket headlight bezels in black, and liked them, I'd like to know which brand you got.

Thanks!

Pretty sure this is what you want.

I don't think that is a mail carrier one though.
Thinking that is an Export.
Just cause it has the side markers or side repeaters as they are technically called.
Does it have headrests in the back seat?

Thank you Ralph77. It is indeed an export (and imported back). When I said mail carrier, I was trying to say that's what I'll be using it for. I can't go out and look at it, it's at a friend's shop, but I believe it does not have the headrests, is that another export characteristic? It could also be that they're just missing, like the tool set, jack, and spare.

To the best of my knowledge all import XJ's have head rests in the rear seat.
Like it is the law over there or something. Believe the same for the side repeaters.
Pretty sure on a real RHD Postal Jeep both those are not there.
Also think it is funny that they use the same lenses as the YJ's.
At least that is what the link I posted seems to indicate.
So might be a easy boneyard find too.

Not sure what that bulb number is. But if you are looking for LED, the good Sylvania 194s (not quite what you have there, they go in the corner flashers) run about $7 each best prices I've seen. O'Reilly and other parts stores have them for slightly more.

I just realized something.
That part at the link might just be the lense. And looks like you could use the whole assembly.
YJ in a boneyard might be a better way to go.
Thinking like 318SixPack said it is a 194 but watch out for the Sylvania LED's.
The run a little long and might not clear.
