ANOTHER hard start problem!
Hey guys, I have a 99 XJ 4.0. The Radiator recently went out on it two weeks ago, and as I had the new Radiator on order I decided to get a head start and remove the blown one. As I was removing the old one I had to remove the battery for extra space. Well after a week of sitting without the battery hooked up I finally got the new Radiator and installed it. Needless to say the Radiator problem is fixed, but now every time I start my Jeep (cold or hot) it has a hard time as it sputters and hesitates. I read on another forum that if the battery is removed for an extended period of time that that resets the PCM and your Jeep has to "re-learn" everything including starting and/or idling. My question is, could this be the problem why my Jeep is sputtering & hesitating? Also it NEVER did this prior to me removing the battery..
ANY advice would be a lot of help!
