Aluminum spacer between gear box and frame!
what is this for, just for the gear box to sit straight.
Well story behind the question. A while back i broke one of my gear box bolts installin my bumper!!! And didnt feel like drillin and tappin it back out!!(yeah i know dumba$$) but anywho the other day at McyD's i couldnt turn right so i got out and my other two bolts were broke now
well i work in a machine shop so i have no problem drillin out and retapping the holes(hopefully can just heat em up and easy out them)
But this aluminum jobby broke halfway around one of the holes.
Is it that big of a deal or do i need a new one, or can i just reuse it after i drill and tap the gear box casting?
and if i need a new where could i get it?

That triangular spacer is often replaced by a steel one. C-Roc makes them and they can be purchased with a plate to plate the outside of the frame(unibody) or not if you have a winch bumper. The spacer needs to be there to align the gearbox so that there is no bind on the steering shaft from the column.

If you use the aluminum OEM spaced it will crack when you tighten down the bolts with a winch bumper that uses the OEM 3 steering box bolts.
