first off i search and couldn't find what i was looking for so i thought i'd ask what alternators can i use on a 96 cherokee with the 4.0 which ones are interchangeable?

 

you can fit a 136 amp alt of of a v8 grand cherokee with a little mod. you gain 46 amps and they are like 35$ from junk yard

bracket needs ground (front and back one) need to press (vise works) a roll pin 1/4 back, plastic gromet thing needs switched from yours. bout it

some people say you need to take a little of your timimg chain cover but i didnt. Good wright up under jeepfourm.com under cherokees (will list other vehicles you can get alt from)

An other stupid mod you are interested in? all i do is read forums for stupid stuff to do to my jeep, some pans out, some are retarded.

mines at 5.5 and 33s and the only real parts i have bought were shackles (bought off cl for $20) and shocks (off tj, ~4in longer than stock. the reast you can make your self

 

but the thing i do like about jeepcherokee forum is IT IS ALL CHEROKEE. which makes it nice when you searching
