Hey there guys needed some help,on my 89 cherokee i have a few electric devices running from the battery like electric fans, flood lights etc. The alternator seems pretty weak and ive heard before that grand cherokee and later model xj's have more power and are basically interchangeable is this true? Any help is appreciated.

 

I am not completely sure about design on the older xj but I do think it is a little different. my 94 has a 90 amp alt (can be upgraded to 120) biggest thing is that all connections match as the newer design is computer regulated
