alternator noise when cold

alternator noise when cold
does anyone have a cover or shield under there alternator to keep mud and water from getting on the alternator? I was thinking about buying a rustys shield for 115.00? I went mudding over the weekend and now my alternator is making noise when I let it sit overnight.
