Default Alternator Blowing Fuse

Got a 95 XJ with SECOND brand new alternator, not charging is my problem however the 60A Alternator fuse blows when I put a fresh one in. Assuming this would mean the fuse is being overloaded and from what I've read the internal voltage regulator is shot. Opinions?

Does the fuse blow as soon as you put it in , or does tack a little time ?

Right away. Jeep only runs when connected to another vehicles charging system via jumper cables.

It sounds like the wiring is shorted to the alternator . that needs to be checked
