Alternator alternatives

i need some help with what alternator to get mine just took a poo. iv heard people talk about putting grand cherokee alternators in, does anybody know anything about that? Pretty much what im looking for is a good warranty and a little bit more amperage from the stock 117

any help greatly appreciated

Both are spendy but well built

Powermaster also makes good ones.

Crazy as in output or expensive? cuz 125 and 200 are what I have seen over the stock output. Not counting the 136a in some dakotas/GCs

There are some ZJ 120 amps which will bolt directly up. They were an upgrade to thge stock ZJ 90 amp which is the same model as the XJ. So the 120 amp upgrade should work...Ok the Alt would need to be for a 97 Grand Cherokee with the 4.0 I6 engine. The 90 amp is the same part number that is used on my 91 and the 120 is a bigger case but mounts the same. Just a side note this was only the 97-98 GC.
