wooooooooooooo I finally got it fixed haha.
Holy crap im like so happy its ridiculous, its jus been a constant battle.
Ok so heres the conclusion.
ok so i went to auto zone and took the starter, i went to buy a new one so the guy jus tested it soince its procedure.
It passed three times and the dude said it was strong, I got so sad lol
But he said the machine is different, its a lighter load than a actual car, so i said f it, ill take the new one.
I go home bolt it up, And im jus hoping it will work, had my doubts though.
Heres the kicker, lol.
While i was connecting the battery i noticed the wire that goes from the terminal to the relay was a bit loose, hmmmmmm
So i tightened it back up jus to be sure.
So when i turned on the jeep, walla, worked like a champ. Even started better with the new starter.
Haha so now i didnt know if it was the wire or the starter.
To be honest i believe it was the starter, since it started at times, i dont believe it was that wire cuz it was still making contact, jus a bit loose.
Had to be the starter. lol.
But whatever dont care shes jus fixed and im glad it happened cuz i replaced so many things that i wouldnt of done if this had not happened.
I replaced battery cable, terminals, ignition switch, and brand new starter and selenoid.
Also learned so much from all you guys, Its ridiculous what experince people know.
Thanks guys, especially the gurus. lol

Glad you found the problem and fixed it and posted how it was fixed, lots of useful info there.
Pretty sure the clutch in/out starting thing varies by year Mine is an 87 and starts with the clutch out in any gear. His is an 88 so I am sure its the same.
OK GUYS every vehicle ive ever had has been a 5 speed, and the only one ive driven that had the switch or button that keeps your vehicle from starting if the clutch is not in, that you are mentioning is on a 2004 toyota tacoma, and its not on defaultly. The no clutch start is a slightly newer feature that doesnt even exist on my 95, so his 88 would most likely not have that. Coming from experience of running a car through a garage door when i didnt put the clutch in lol
this may be true about not even having one... its very possible... but ive owned 4 5 speeds and the other 3 had them... 94 toyotapickup... 95 cavalier... and a 01 cavalier... each had the switch... its possible jeep didnt but i would think they would... either way... it doesnt realy matter... lol
