i need to know if my head liners is missing a bracket for my dome light or not, the front mounts using a metal bar but there's nothing for the back to attach to and it just hangs, ive looked all over cross referencing other dome lights even going as far as to ask around in a discord server for jeeps, still no answers, ill post a link for the light i have

this is from the thread you linked, my roof doesnt even have this bracket

 

afaic, that part is attached to the dome light and lips up under the hoodlining cutout

mine is hanging down slightly (since I re-did my headlining several years ago. I should fix it

from memory again, the fitting is also retained by some dogs **** fastener, male thread into roof, female thread facing downward, have you got that ?...my memory may be...clouded

 

yeah thats the issues, i neither have that bracket nr does my roof have the holes it would screw into
