Airbag light for 1996 Jeep cherokee 2.5?

Airbag light for 1996 Jeep cherokee 2.5?
We have a 96 jeep cherokeee, its just failed the MOT (in Spain) because no airbag light comes on when the ignition is turned on - we have had it for 5 years and never seen a light for the airbag.
We have been told it is possible that this model does not have an airbag light? - it appears to have a driver side only airbag, there doesnt appear to be a fuse for an airbag in this year on the photos on the forums we have seen.
Any advice please?
