Default Air Intake Question

I am planning on doing a cone filter air intake in place of my stock airbox. It will suit me needs very well as I do not encounter much mud/water.

I have all the parts picked it, but I would like to know, as for my valve cover breather, is it better to stick a tiny cone filter on there, or run a tube into my new intake system like the old airbox?

Have to disagree with XJ?2010 as the breather needs to have some vacuum on it to work properly and the routing of it to the air intake accomplishes that. So I would route it to your air intake somehow.

last but not least is part of the emisssion's system....if his state requires it the XJ would fail the visual.

Yah just find a small inline filter,to put in between your valve cover and intake. It will prevent blow by and keep you cone filter clean.
