I'm looking for some info on different after market ECU's for XJ's..

I might be getting parts from a XJ that has a complete after market ECU/TCU/MAP/Coil and all other related controllers.

Only thing is I can't find any info on the system. It's Blue Anadysed if that helps.

Just looking for info on it and the current owner of the XJ knows nothing about it. I just didn't get time to look it over for a brand or model #..

 

I doubt the ECU and TCU are aftermarket. I dont think they make anything for the AW4 and if the Ecu was aftermarket it would pry be Megasquirt through a laptop.

Pry just has some kind of MSD type spark control.

 

The whole system has been replaced.

I have never seen such a complete replacement in all these years into Jeeps.

I guess I'll just have to wait till I have it in hand to find out for sure..

 

Is it an AEM unit?

Most would be tuneable via a laptop. You will need to monitor the Air/Fuel ratio when tuning or you risk running it too lean. Putting it on a dyno would be your best option.

 

Not sure yet what brand it is.

That's why I asked so I could look up and few and see whats out there.
