I have a 93 Cherokee Country. When I first got everything running the speedo wouldn't work, so I went to a junkyard and pulled one out of another XJ and it works fine now but I wanted to adjust the mileage back to where its supposed to be, if its even possible. The original odometer had about 290k the replacement has about 147k. I would appreciate any input guys!

 

Since you have no idea on the mileage I wouldn't really worry about it. Places are out there that can do it but they aren't cheap.

 

It's a 25 year old vehicle. I wouldn't worry about the mileage. I replaced my gauges with a set that had 30k fewer miles. I could really care less about having it set straight.

 

I would just document what the difference is between the two is so it can be referenced if you forget, maybe in your owner's manual.

 

Go on car-part.com and search for your mileage. Cheaper and easier to find one with the mileage you need.
