I just got an email back from Iron Man Andy. I asked him if he has a track bar that will fit a 3-3.5 inch lift

"for a lift as small as yours it often works to just drill a new hole 3/4" to the right of the original hole. Its a 10mm bolt.
I dont offer a low lift track bar because of clearance issues
Thanks
Andy"

I am running the BDS Adj. Trackbar.....Its rebuildable and I believe will work from 3 to 6 inches of lift....I have had it a year and have had no problems with it.

Fast forward a few years, he's out of business. He had a "lifetime warranty" but now that he's not doing this anymore, all his previous customers, if needed, can't get any warranty work done.

Things happen, life sucks.

My point is, right now he's a one man show. What happens if things change? He's not a large corporation with years of experience with a store front of sorts, so there is a chance he'll go out of business. So what happens then?

if its beefy then you shouldnt have to worry about this,
as far as breaking it from taking a hit... "you play you pay"

if its made out of something thats .250 wall tubing then you wont have to worry about bending it.

I agree with getting the relocation bracket. I've read quite a few posts that say drilling new holes is a bad idea. There just isn't much material there.

I've read that heims are weaker...would there be a better way to mount it?

While some may say redrilling is a bad idea. I had it on my waggy for 2 years with 3in lift and 31's. Never had issues. There isn't less material in that spot than in the stock spot. Also it will get ya started with less out of pocket since we all know you start at three inches and next thing ya know you are at 4 1/2 inches. Which as more of a market for adj track bars.

I did the mod and has held up great. I want a adj tb but didn't have the doe.

It was just my understanding that once you drill a new hole its closer to the end of the bracket, leaving less material to hold the bolt in place.

Its hard for me to explain what I mean, but you should get what I mean.

Nice, I forget where I was reading it but a guy was drawing up suspension ideas and had mentioned he was trying to aviod Heims because they are weaker than other options.

I was just wondering what other options would be available.

It must've been here that I read it. I think 89eliminator commented in the thread. Dang, now I gotta dig through my posts to find it...
