With the bastard packs you use your main leaf and the rest of the S10 springs just cut the eyes off of the S10 main leaf. Do not use blocks.

Add a leafs will sag.. but blocks can (under stress) allow the axle to kick out of its placement !!! = you go NO WHERE

"bastard blocks" are as good an idea as the ones you pay for (TERRIBLE).. A buddy of mine used them in California when I lived out there years ago... put himself in the hospital and totaled his truck! (so I shouldnt say) and anyone who says they are a good idea hasn't gone to the hospital to see their buddy in the ICU... and anyone who tells you is NOT thinking about your safty

save 200 bucks and get a full leaf pack

best $ youll ever spend

i just suggest getting a new full leaf set. It's really not too much more expensive for what your getting. I got a AAL initially for my RC 4.5" lift and it sagged like crazy and then I called RC myself explaining the situation and they gave me the full leaf set at cost and they are great and only settled about quarter of an inch if that in the past 4 months.

blocks are just fine, everyone likes to give you worst case scenarios on here. if you are that worried about axle wrap, add torsion bars, cheap to do as well.

I have an aal and it is holding up alright. I have had it for only a month but there has been no sagging at this point. I do expect it to sag though. I have only heard bad things about blocks. If you don't have the money for a full leaf pack I would go with the aal for now. but have the full pack in the plans for down the road. enjoy the lift man.

Have you ever seen a leaf spring wrap into an "S" shape when you press on the accelerator? Blocks with old stock leaf springs simply is a problem waiting to happen. We don't give the worst case scenarios, we give advice to avoid what can be a potential problem in the future so they don't waste their money.

Hey Cole, nice build. It's your first ride, your 15, It may seem tough but just cut a couple more lawns wait a couple more weeks, and get a full pack. It will be well worth it. I have AAL on my xj with a RC 4.5" lift and it's saggin. Now I gotta get a full leaf pack and do it over. I don't like my @$$ draggin. Do it once and put your 2x efforts in to something else on the jeep.

shackles are to *help* correct rear sag and pinion angle. AAL's are a band-aid. blocks are for rednecks, or for absolute POS trail beaters destined for the scrap yard after one more run.
