I'm lookin into getting a SYE kit with the cv driveshaft. I found one on ebay by adams driveshaft, also uses rugged ridge and spicer parts. Does anyone have any opnion with these names?? I dont know much about this stuff, also what transfer case do I have? How can I tell ? I have a 98 xj with 4.0 and auto. Thanx

Shift Pattern for the 231: 2hi-4hi-N-4Lo
for the 242: 2hi-4Hi-4ft-N-4Lo
I don't know much about adam's driveshaft and I've never heard of them. I know that Tom Woods has a reputation for putting out quality stuff as it relates to CV driveshafts.

You have a round tag on the back of the t-case that will tell you what you have. Never heard of adams either. Rugged Ridge makes some decent stuff. You will save a bit of coin having a driveshaft made locally. No one told me and I spent a ton from RE only to have it cut when I swapped axles.
