That thing.
Is it worth worrying about? As you can see the hose next to it keeps it in place anyway and its not going anywhere. The clip is just broken allowing the outside "sleeve" to move up and down a bit if I tug on it. Otherwise it doesn't move when throttle is opened, and doesn't seem to affect functionality.
If I was going to replace the cable, would it be the whole cable then? Its cold as hell here and I'd rather not go to a JY any time soon, but RA has them for like $15-20, but in a 26.46", 27.25", 26", and 52.31" length - any idea what one I would need, if in fact it's even worth worrying about?

Use your FSM to find exactly what you need, then go to a parts house like OEM Jeep parts and price out what you need.
Or the simple way call the Jeep dealership and ask parts for the price and a part number if you want it simple. Most of these questions can be found quicker with a search than a posting JMHO.

Is the clip part of the cable?
We carry the cable, but it looks like there is a piece on the end? -

Ya prolly shoulda just checked my Haynes. I was already at work though and it's back at home lol. Then again I don't think it would have broken down to show if that was a separate piece, which was most of my question - if it's part of the entire cable assembly. I'm thinking it is.
I'll probably just swap out the whole thing whenever I'm not lazy, since it seems to be fine as is for now.

I wonder where one might find a community like that. I'll have to Google.
