Default ac is a waste of space!!!

My clutch in my ac compressor has locked up!! POS!!! Is there a way to fix my xj without coughn up $200 for a compressor?

Pull it and throw a non ac belt on and enjoy the extra ponies.

Where can i find a pullie diagram to show how to run the new belt?

i had to get an AC bypass pulley when mine siezed, you need the extra pulley for the belt routing. i used one for a 1997 grand cherokee and modified it to fit.....

Is the compressor bad or just the clutch. A/C clutch should only cost about $40, at least that what mine cost.

Ive called around everywhere tryn to find a clutch kit but none are available for my model!?!?

Are you sure it is the clutch and NOT the presure switch? If you could find a clutch you could convert the compressor to OBA pump.

well the whole reason i was thinking it was the compressor is b/c when it runs you can hear a grinding noise really loud and it sounded like it was coming from the compressor. took it off had the pully was making a grinding noise when i turned it.

junk yard.. get a used compressor clutch.. or whole compressor..
