Hi, I have a 96 4.0 Cherokee and broke the thermistor and haven't been able to source a replacement. Has someone figured out readily available replacement I can modify to work?

Best I can tell the part number is 55035503. Same for '91 thru '96.
Supposedly this will work.

But.....
At the bottom he says the connector is the same but the probe might be a little longer.

 

Thanks for reply. I bought one like that but the connector is different. I was going to swap connectors to try and make it work plus I thought might have to buy another donor jeep. Luckily I searched eBay again with the part # and found one so I bought it. Hopefully this one is exact replacement and will not break it again.

I also had the same problem with removing mine. Only thing is mine broke. Is this crucial in having ac. I already put my box back in and don’t really wanna pull the box out to do it. Is it possible to get to that without pulling the box again, depending on how important it is I’m not going to. But I still want ac.
