AC does not cool!

Just got my 1999 XJ today! Had all the fluids changed except the brake fluid which I will have to do myself.

The AC did not work so I got my guage and it was low so added freon to it. but the compressor just cycles on and off and if will not cool!

Anybody have any idea what the heck could be wrong with my AC????

leak anywhere?
i had a leak in my audi so it wouldn't cool at all, replaced a hose and walla.

iirc if the system is low on freon it will kick the compressor on and off. check your level again to be sure.

Sorry to interrupt, but this is how I know we got big...

We have someone asking about an A/C question in Dec./Damn near Jan.....
That only happens south of the equator....
