Default ABS question

Hey guys

Wanted to know if I could deactivate my ABS by simply pulling some fuses on my 98 Cherokee.

Thanks in advance

Yes. But it'd also turn on the ABS light. Why do you want to turn it off. I wish I had ABS.

my ABS is kicking in on dry surface. no rain, no dirt...nothing. Its making the noise it usually makes when stopping in snow when i am stopping now on normal surfaces....its not doing it all the time. So until i get the time to look at it over the weekend, i figured it would be safer/better to deactivate temporarily.

What sucks is i just did an entire complete brake job. calipers, rotors, pads, drums, lines, etc...everything. not sure why the ABS is acting up.

I never had an ABS issue with a car before so i will have to do some searches.

Anyone have any ideas as to why ABS would be engaging in normal conditions?

The ABS valve hanging up after you pumped the fluid due to the new calipers and lines.

Did you damage the reluctor ring or sensor? The reluctor ring is the one that looks like a gear. If you dinged up the teeth or damaged the sensor it could cause that.
