I replaced the generic cluster gauge that had only warning lights with a cluster gauge that has gauges. Before changing the generic gauge cluster the ABS light was not on it would light up when you performed the cluster gauge test but that’s the only time it would light up. Since installing the new gauge the ABS light comes on and stays on. The scanner detects no codes at all question is does the new gauge cluster need to be cloned? The vehicle stop fine forgot to mention that. Any help or advice would greatly be appreciated

Sorry about that I have a 1999 xj. The cluster came out of a 1999 or 2000 xj so the cluster are compatible with each other. The donor vehicle the cluster came out of was completely stripped so I don’t know if the vehicle was even equipped with ABS. Everything on the cluster is working except the fuel gauge and I know that’s the fuel sending unit. There is the occasional check engine light for an EVAP leak which I have final found.
