Used a coupon for one from Harbor Freight. Not the best, of course, but it sure helped read and reset codes for my son in law as well as gave me a hand trying to figure out what was going on with my XJ.

Oh, I noticed in one of my above threads I didn't mention that when I replaced the Crank Position Sensor, I noted what looked like a small crack in the plastic at the top of the unit (like maybe where the pieces came together in the mold?). Not sure if that was part of the issue, but I figured I'd mention it.
Anyhow, my in-laws now have the XJ and I'm hoping I did everything I could to make it dependable for them. Did I mention they live off the grid in southern CO on 35 acres? Uh-huh, that's why I was worried and wanted to make sure the XJ was in tip top shape.
Thanks to all of you here on the board. You were all a great help.
This XJ is gone, but I've had 3 so far, so I'm betting there will be another one in my future at some point...
Thanks again...
