'99 Fuel Injector Swap to 784s Question

'99 Fuel Injector Swap to 784s Question
The injector on the left is the stock one I took out.
The injector in the middle is a 784 Neon injector without a pintle cap on it.
The injector on the right obviously has the cap.
Do I have to have the pintle cap on the injectors when I put them in? The factory ones don't have that cap. Without looks more like what came out of there.
