99 cherokee lift
i own a 99 cherokee 4x4 sport and i was wondering what would be the easiest and cheapest way to get 2-3 inches of lift, i dont plan on doing any real offroading but i am going to be pulling my bowfishing boat, and give the jeep a more agressive stance. thanks in advance

after some research i decided this was a kit i wanted (so i ordered it), but I have not gotten it on yet, so i do not have any feedback for it yet, but it looks like good stuff for the price. I am considering buying some OME medium duty full leaf packs as opposed to putting the half aals under my already shot leaf packs. The 2 inches avoids (hopefully) replacing front control arms and trackbar.
HTH!

for 2 inches you dont need to blow that much money. you dont need extended brake lines or shock for sure. all you would need is a coil spacer and some bigger shackles. that wont be more than $200 shipped from anywhere. 3 inches and you need bigger coils and either an add a leaf, new rear springs, or make a bastard pack from some other vehicles leaf springs. if you arent too crazy off road (or off road at all for that matter) shocks can wait.

I'm not entirely sure, but can't stock shocks be ran with ~2 inches lift? If this is the case 2 inch coil spacers and an AAL or longer shackle would work, that'd be pretty cheap. The spacers would be roughly 60 bucks shipped and I dunno about shackles.

buy some 2-3" lift blocks for the rear from the local auto parts store and buy a coil spacer for the front http://www.4wheelerssupply.com/catal.../products_id/1

blocks are a bad idea on a cherokee.... dont know why he threw that out there but youd be better off with a shackle or add a leaf lift...do it right dont go for the cheap blocks most of them are aluminum and will crack. unless you are building a mall crawler dont use blocks

$99 There you go. Get it, put it on, take pics and let me know how it turns out. I'm thinking about doing that and a brake line extension on top of my 3" add a leaf kit so I can swap on my 32"ers. and actually flex out.

These guys offer what seem to be pretty nice budget boost kits from $105 to $149 without shocks. You can get them from one to three inches and with or without shocks.

I read the article storm 101 had from four wheller mag. Had on the R E 259.00 budget lift. I believe i will go w/ this lift. My question is, will this help my sagging rear leafs? Or will i need a leaf replacement?

Im sitting in the same boat, ive needed leaf packs since I bought my xj...so Im going to order Old man emu medium duty leaf packs, and skip the AALs in the kit.
The only problem with this for most, would be the fact you CAN go higher for the total amount I will have spent on stuff in the end. Which for 2" for my applications, is fine with me. This way though, i have a new brake line, front spacers, new shocks, new leaf packs....and I can always (pretty easily) add other stuff down the road if i want it bigger.
Its my dd, and i carry my family in it, which includes a pregnant wife and one toddler. I am also hoping on avoiding front end issues with 2"....so to me its worth knowing i covered my bases and did everything the best (and safest mind you) way i could.
In the end its all up to you on how you do things, personally my MAIN issue is saftey and reliability, which im sure i will accomplish.
